The Client

North Lincolnshire Council is the local authority for North Lincolnshire. It provides a full range of local government services including Council Tax billing, libraries, social services, processing planning applications, waste collection and disposal, and it is a local education authority.

The Project

Elecomm were engaged to deliver MEP services for the 3 phases of the redevelopment of Church Square in Scunthorpe, in order to provide the council with high quality office environment along with energy efficient systems.

  • Phase 1 was a purpose-built office building to house ONGO NLCs private housing management company.
  • Phase 2 was an extension to Church Square House, comprising meeting rooms and a conference centre.
  • Phase 3 was the redevelopment of Church Square House which involved a number of modifications of the building to increase operational capacity.
The Outcome

The project was carried out over a 2-year period, and Elecomm completed the design, install and commission, delivering a full turnkey package. The project involved some data/IT elements in addition to the electrical and mechanical packages we delivered.

Elecomm supplied all the materials and delivered the project on time and in full, with a focus on renewable energy as per the project brief. This comprised PV panels, air source heat pumps and intelligent Building Management Systems.

The total project value was in excess of £3.5m.
