Supply Chain Apprentice – CLOSED

Job type: Full time (Monday-Friday), permanent
Location: Sheffield

We are looking for a Supply Chain Apprentice to provide administrative support within our supply chain department. Tasks range from fuel and credit reconciliations though to amending purchase orders and placing supplier orders. The role will entail:

  • Checking credit card and fuel card purchases, ensuring all receipts have been received and reconciled.
  • Processing all fines back to engineers and ensure that tolls and congestions charges have been verified as and when needed
  • Ensuring equipment is hired and off hired in a timely manner and that service levels from key suppliers of such is monitored and the on hire is checked weekly ensuring no unnecessary costs are incurred
  • Raising purchase orders for services and materials for the department when required
  • Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customers as necessary
  • Obtaining approvals in line with company purchasing policy
  • Checking order details
  • Checking accuracy of information on requisitions before placing orders with suppliers
  • Ensure orders have been received by suppliers and that goods can be delivered on time
  • Feedback to colleagues on any issues with regard price, quantity, quality or delivery times which may affect or cause delay to specified projects
  • Updating the system ensuring products and pricing is up to date as much as possible
  • Completing driving license checks as and when required
  • Making and taking departmental calls and responding to procurement emails and voicemails
  • Attending meetings and training as and when needed
  • Other supporting duties as and when issued ensuring that all documentation is completed correctly and within deadline
