The Client

Superdrug & Savers are high street cosmetic/ health & beauty retailers and have been part of the AS Watson Group of companies since 2002.

You’ll find their stores located on many high streets and shopping centres throughout the UK, with Superdrug being the country’s second largest health & beauty retailer after Boots UK.

Fit for purpose EPOS solutions are essential for busy retailers, in order to service the demands of the vast numbers of consumers that pass through their doors daily.

The Project

We were delighted to step in and offer support to Superdrug and Savers part-way through a project which saw us refreshing the EPOS hardware throughout the estates of both retailers. This included replacing and fitting base units, ergonomic space poles, cash drawers, monitors, printers and all other associated cabling and other support items.

The Outcome

We drew up an installation schedule based on cost-effective geographical location methodology. We then assembled a nationwide team of highly-skilled EPOS engineers and collected all materials from the client’s logistics partner. Picking, packing, serial code part capture and dispatch took place over weekends to field engineers.

We then installed and commissioned all the new hardware and support items while maintaining dialogue with the client and reporting on progress throughout. Lastly, we disposed of legacy hardware in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive.

This complex and large-scale project comprised:

  • Over 900 stores
  • Over 4000 tills systems
  • In excess of 26,000 items of equipment
  • Project value was £387,000

We stepped in and stepped up, completing the entire project in less than 7 months with a 99% on time, in full success rate.
