The Client

The University of Sheffield is one of the world’s top 100 universities, and ranks in the top five in the UK for best overall student experience. They’re also a member of the Russell Group of leading UK research universities.

They offer a range of high-quality courses from undergraduate degrees and postgraduate courses to research degrees and adult education classes. Study options include full-time, part-time, online and distance learning.

The Project

The university were in need of a full refurbishment of their building at 38 Mappin Street, in the heart of Sheffield’s city centre. Our mechanical and electrical team were contracted by Henry Boot Construction as their preferred contractor for the project. Our Data/IT services team also installed and managed the structured cabling installation.

All installation works were completed to the university’s high standards and we also assisted with mounting high level IT and AV equipment. Elecomm are a Nexans CSP partner, enabling us to install and provide 25-year warranties on copper and fibre installations.
